Bespoke Travel Medicals

Comprehensive Medical Testing for Global Contractors

Bespoke medicals provide an individualised approach to work-based travel medicals. You may need a bespoke medical if you are going to work oversees for a non-UK based company that requires additional medical checks beyond the standard offshore or seafarer medicals.

These medicals may be required by individuals working in a range of fields, from construction to conservation all round the world.Your contracting company will have provided you with a list of medical test results that they require for you (including vaccinations). This service supports these needs from the point of request to receipt of results and any queries you or your contracting company may have.

Customised Medical Testing and Certification Requirements

You will be required to provide a comprehensive list of the tests/services you or your contracting company need. These may include any paperwork that requires completion, any standards that need to be adhered to and any certificates that you need completing.

Personalised Travel Medical Preparation

We will use these to help create a bespoke travel medical package for you. We may need to know things like your vaccination history, any chronic health conditions, whether you have any medical implants, proof of any medical tests you may have had (including the results) or simply if you wear spectacles (don’t forget to bring these to your medical!). The length of your appointment may be 1-2 hours.

Medical Results and Reporting Process

Test results are usually received within 14 working days and are reviewed by the Occupational Health Physician. Your results and all completed paperwork are usually provided to you directly via email however, with consent, these can be forwarded to other medical professionals managing your health in the workplace.

Physician examination tailored to your requirements by an Occupational Health Physician (OHP)
OEUK (approved medical)
ENG1 (approved medical)
Additional certificate of fitness completion (if supplied)

Diagnostic Tests and Measurements

Bespoke package of blood (fasting or non-fasting), urine and/or stool tests (including lab results confirmed by an Occupational Health Physician)
Pregnancy testing
Chester Step Test (aerobic capacity test)
Spirometry
Audiometry
BMI
Blood Pressure and Pulse
Vision Screening
Waist Measurement
ECG
Shoulder measurement
Instant Drug and Alcohol screening (including lab results confirmed by an Occupational Health Nurse/Physician)

Specialist and Travel-Related Services

Chest X Ray (via referral to one of our trusted partners)
Echo Stress Testing (via referral to one of our trusted partners)
Travel risk assessments and vaccinations
Ultrasound screening e.g. abdominal (via referral to one of our trusted partners)
