led by our qualified occupational health team
A fitness-to-work review will assure that an individual can complete a task safely and without unacceptable risk to themselves, their employer or a third party.
We offer OH consultations to enable the management of Sickness Absence and fitness to return to work.
Following a consultation with an OHP or OHN, employer and employee will receive a detailed report outlining our advised recommendations.
We can attend company sites to conduct a workplace assessment.
What is the purpose of a doctor or nurse review?
An occupational health review is carried out following OHS receiving a management referral form from your employer. In this form, it will detail the reason for the review, e.g. usually sickness absence or difficulty with you carrying out your job role.
The employer will ask specific questions to be answered in a report which will be sent to your employer following your giving consent.
Can case management consultation be done via video or telephone call?
Most consultations are conducted in person, however, there are some circumstances in which video or telephone consultations may be considered.
The decision about whether a video or telephone consultation is appropriate will be at the discretion of the doctor or nurse leading the consultation, and each case will be considered individually.
When will case management reports be received?
If employees have stated that they would like to receive their report before it is sent to their employer, they should receive this within 1 working day of their consultation. Employers should receive the report within 3 working days of the consultation.
If consent has been delayed or has not been provided, this may affect the timeframe in which employers will receive reports. Download the consent form here.
